*** 03/09/09 UPDATE *** UnderWords 0.8, the Word Whomp Underground cheat has been released. This update clicks through the rank screens and the mini goodies screens. This CANNOT BE PLAYED IN FULL SCREEN MODE. If you are in full screen mode, you need to change it just Click GO TO (in the bottom left hand corner) then OPTIONS and click the checkmark to click out of full screen.

UnderWords Version 0.8:
Download UnderWords like you usually do. This only works on Word Whomp Underground. Not on regular Word Whomp. It will look like this when you run it:
If your UnderWords is not working correctly (missing the speed round etc...) here is the fix:
You probably have "smooth edges of screen fonts" SELECTED inside of your windows operating system. It is "smoothing the edges" of the letters in your game, making our software unable to read them correctly!
* if using Windows XP:
1. Right-click your desktop, then left-click "Properties".
2. Choose the "Appearance" tab up at the top.
3. Click "Effects..." in the next window.
4. UNCHECK the 2nd option "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:" so that it no longer does edge smoothing.
5. Click "OK". It will back you out to the previous window.
6. Click "Apply", then "OK" to close out of THAT window.
7. You are finished. Close any previously opened online game window, and start a fresh one.
* other Windows versions:

If your UnderWords is not working correctly here are some tips:
• Make sure the game window is fully loaded before running UnderWords or UnderWords.
• Try running at "1024 x 768" pixels and 32 bit color.
• Turn the screen saver off.
• Leave the computer alone and let it play!
